18 Nov

This latest video from PBS’ The City Concealed is phenomenal! It talks about Kehila Kedosha Janina, the last remaining Greek Jewish Synagogue left in the Western hemisphere. The synagogue is located on Broome Street and Allen Street and was founded in 1927 and is now an official New York City landmark. Its history is rich with stories of immigration, culture, and garment workers and is crucial to the formation of some of the businesses in the Lower East Side.

Educate yourself and watch the video above.
